On May 27, 2025, Reinhard Bachmann, a German economist and social scientist who teaches and researches at the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies was a guest speaker at our doctoral colloquium. He presented about “Trust and Institutions”.

Adarsh Kumar successfully defended his dissertation

On May 20, 2025, Dirk Matten, Professor at the Schulich School of Business at York University (Canada), was a guest speaker at our doctoral colloquium. He presented a new and timely paper on "Fascism as a management philosophy”.

Mike Geppert was invited to spend the first half of April 2025 as a guest researcher at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo. Besides providing insights related own studies on ownership structure changes in European football and giving a presentation, Mike worked with Hide Nakamura and colleagues on current FDI in the J1 League with a special focus on a case study about Yokohama Marinos, an IJV of the Nissan owned club with the British-based holding company City Football Group, the owner of the English club Manchester City.
