Free choice of topic:
Interested parties can contact the academic staff of the (university) chair directly with suggestions for topics. Economic policy relevance is the decisive factor when choosing a topic. Beyond this, there are no significant restrictions regarding the subject areas.
Topic proposals should be submitted to the (university) chair in the form of a project outline (including the object of investigation, approach and core literature already reviewed).

Requirements
The requirements for the registration of a bachelor's dissertation can be found in the Examination Regulations applicable to your degree programme.
We also recommend that students attend the lecture "Economics of Global Economic Structural Change" and/or participate in the seminar "Current Problems of Economic Policy" as a content-related requirement. -
Scope and processing time
The processing period for the final year project|thesis|dissertation is eight calendar weeks from the date of registration. The length of the thesis should not exceed 30 pages (+/- 10%). The information on the formal requirements must be observed.

Seminar for bachelor's dissertations
The (university) chair of Economic Policy offers every Bachelor candidate the opportunity to present their approach, the status of their final year project|thesis|dissertation and initial results in a seminar presentation. This seminar, which has no influence on the final grade, usually takes place about three to five weeks after registration of the thesis. The participation of all Bachelor candidates of the (university) chair in the seminars during the processing period is mandatory.
