Porfessor Freytag's latest paper, "Economic globalisation and Africa’s quest for greener and more inclusive growth: The missing linkExternal link" has been published in the Jena Research Paper Series (JERP). Additionally, Professor Freytag's newest book, "Reconsidering Central Bank IndeopendenceExternal link" is available from Cambridge University Press. Together with his colleagues Stan Du Plessis and Dawie van Lill from Stellenbosch University, Professor Freytag emphasizes the importance of independent central banks and analyzes current challenges and developments.
