Image: Nicole Nerger (University of Jena)Silke Übelmesser is Professor of Economics at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, where she has held the Chair of Economics / Public Economics since 2012. She studied economics at the University of Munich and received her PhD there. Her main research interests include public finance, social policy, education economics and migration with an empirical focus.
