Anyone who has worked and paid into the pension system for 45 years should be able to retire without deductions—this has been the rule for more than ten years. But that policy is now under pressure. Between the pursuit of fairness and financial viability, between a lifetime of work and demographic reality—who is right? And who will ultimately bear the cost when fewer and fewer contributors have to support more and more pensioners?
