The G7 in international economic policy - past and present

Since its establishment in 1975, the G7 has served as a platform for international cooperation. This has enabled, for example, joint debt relief for developing countries and coordinated policies during economic crises. However, the significance of the G7 is currently being challenged by increasing multipolarity, unilateral national actions, and transboundary problems such as climate change.
