Doctoral Seminar in Augsburg 2026

From March 24 to 27, 2026, the Chair of Management and OrganizationExternal link at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Augsburg hosted a joint doctoral seminar.

The seminar provided an excellent platform for academic exchange and constructive feedback on ongoing research projects. Representing the UIW Chair, Janina Voigt, Emilie Holley, and Max Schülting presented their current work and, together with Prof. Dr. Menter, engaged in intensive discussions with other doctoral students and faculty members.

Janina Voigt presented her paper titled “Entrepreneurial Engagement with AI in Family Firms: A Socioemotional Wealth Perspective“ while Emilie Holley presented her paper “Artificial Intelligence as a Driver of Business Model Innovation: An Investigation of Firm-Level Capabilities“. Max Schülting presented his paper “The More the Merrier? Resource Slack, its Impact on Business Model Innovation, and the Role of Dynamic Capabilities”.

The seminar fostered a collaborative environment and encouraged critical reflection as well as the development of new perspectives on current research topics. Participation in such events remains a valuable component of doctoral training and international academic networking at the UIW Chair.
