Dear members, dear alumni, dear friends of Alumni Jenenses,

It's that time again: We cordially invite you to this year's Home Coming Weekend in Jena. A weekend full of personal encounters, current developments at our alma mater and exciting impulses from the economy and culture of our city awaits you. This year, we are particularly looking forward to the upcoming board elections and the ceremonial awarding of our thesis prizes.

The programme at a glance

Friday, 24 April

• 19:00: Dinner together at the Schwarzer Bär hotel/restaurant. A relaxed start to arrive in a convivial atmosphere.

Saturday, 25 April Venue: Faculty meeting room (room 2.43), Carl-Zeiss-Straße 3

• 09:30 am: Arrival of the guests
• 10:00 a.m.: Welcome by the Executive Board, reports on the life of the association and general meeting with elections to the Executive Board.
• 10:30 a.m.: Welcome address by the Dean, Prof Walgenbach, on current developments at the Faculty and the University of Jena.
• 11:00 a.m.: Awarding of the Bachelor's and Master's thesis prizes (with laudatory speech and short presentation of the prize-winning theses).
• 11.30 a.m.: Start-up reloaded: Alexander W. Zschäbitz gives us an exciting review 25 years after the spin-off of Asphericon as well as an outlook on the status quo of the company.
• 13:00: Lunch (individual or joint walk to the Grillteufel).
• 14:30: From the 'blossom dust' of a romantic evening: Max Pommer (Director of the Romantikerhaus) dispels myths about Jena's early Romanticism and shows us the historical realities.
• 15:30: AI in marketing: Dr Christian Winter presents his doctoral thesis on technological transformations in the sales process through biotechnology and artificial intelligence.
• 18:30: Evening programme at L'Osteria (Leutragraben 1, in the JenTower).

Sunday, 26 April

• 09:00 a.m.: Conclusion with a joint breakfast in the Wagnergasse.
