Abstract |
In its first 15 years the US automobile industry was characterized by a lot of market entries
and a great number of exits. The model of Steven Klepper shows that the shakeout results
from a process that offers significant advantages for early entrants. This research is to analyze the evolution of the automobile industry in Germany. We tried to find out whether this development proceeded as in the US. Provided there are differences, we want to search for the reasons. |
