Abstract |
Competitive success of firms, the intensity and kind of competition and the evolution of
market structure ( in a broader sense) seems to be dependent – besides advances in process
technologies and efficiency improvements – on product innovations, product development
and quality changes. For selected sectors or markets this project attempts to gather data for
qualitative change of a longer period, to derive from this measures for competitiveness (or fitness)
of firms (product lines) and to track the evolution of markets. Of special interest is the selective
effect of market competition as e.g. theoretically described by replicator dynamics. |
